Hola! I’m Chef Johnathan— born and raised in Queens, New York, with deep Puerto Rican roots that inspire everything I cook.
Growing up in a big Puerto Rican family, food was always the heart of every gathering. The smell of sofrito in the kitchen, the sound of salsa playing in the background, and the laughter of loved ones — those moments shaped my passion for cooking and taught me that food is love, culture, and connection.
After years working in restaurants and kitchens around New York City, I decided to bring that same love and energy directly to people’s tables as a private chef. Today, I specialize in creating personalized dining experiences — from intimate dinners and family celebrations to high-end private events.
My style blends authentic Puerto Rican flavors with modern culinary techniques and global inspiration. I love reimagining traditional dishes — like mofongo, pernil, and pastelón — and pairing them with unexpected twists that surprise and delight my guests. Every menu I create is custom-tailored to the occasion, using fresh, seasonal ingredients and a whole lot of corazón.
For me, cooking is more than a profession — it’s a way of sharing my story and honoring my roots. Whether I’m cooking for two people or twenty, my goal is always the same: to create food that brings people together and leaves a lasting impression.
